Having a young daughter with cystic fibrosis, I know only too well the strain of bringing up a physically dysfunctional child. She too finds life difficult, but her disabilities are slight indeed compared to the sufferings of muscular dystrophy. I feel such empathy for the parents and siblings too, and can only wish them all courage and strength in their daily struggle to bring happiness to their beloved children.
